Ramlila Stagery when & Why
The stagery of holy epic Ramlila was started by Goswami Tulsidas to protect Indian Culture and heritage. During the Mughal administration, mass conversion of religion was taken place. Goswami Tulsidas was very much worried about this and apprehending it a big threat to the Indian Culture, started stagery of Ramlila so that the Indian culture could remain unaffected.
The stagery was originated from Beneras (Kashi) and by & large spread all over and being celebrated with exhilaration almost all over India during the month of ‘Ashwin’ (Sep.-Oct) for a period of 10 days.
The holy epic of Sri Ram is the leading source of Indian Culture in which specific depiction of relation between King and his people, parents and his offsprings, husband and wife, preceptor and disciple, Lord and servant etc. and duties towards each of them. Besides, we can learn that even after constant efforts the evil can never prevail over the good. Thus Ramlila is the symbol of triumph of good over evil.h

Lav-Kush Ramlila Committee was established in 1989 to bring awarness about Sri Bhagwan Ram and his ideals. The person behind this are Ram Krishan Gupta, Arjun Kumar, Sukhbir Saran Aggarwal, Purushottam Shorewala etc.
Stagery of Goswami Tulsidas’s Ramlila drew public interest to a great extent and by and large being celebrated throughout Northern India which was the cause of anxiety of Mughal Administration. After some time Ramlila was being staged in front of historic Red Fort of Delhi but restrained by the British Government.
Nevertheless, by the grace of God Lav-Kush Ramlila Committee was successful to get the same ground allotted in its name for celebration of Ramlila. It is pertinent to note that Lav-Kush Ramlila Committee has achieved the recognition of becoming the favorite organisation in Delhi within a short period.
Lav-Kush Ramlila Committee also organised several competitions for children. Besides Prime Minister of India, Cabinet Ministers, Prominent Citizens, Religious & Social Leaders, Celebrities, Dignitaries and ordinary people witness the function with interest.
Religious personalities like Sri Sudhanshuji Maharaj, Sadhwi Ritambhara, Sri Ashutoshji Maharaj of Divyajyoti Jagriti Mission and their disciples also addressed the audience and impress everybody with their divine thoughts & explanations thereof.
Ehsan Bharti Ghunguruwala also expressed his views and focussed light on Indian Culture & heritage on the auspicious occasion of the Birthday Anniversary of Maharaja Agrasen, the founder of socialism. Kavi Sammelan also was being arranged on the same stage since long. Music & Fireworks competitions are also being organised.
Lav-Kush Ramlila Committee also remains active to help the victims of such as Natural calamities, Riots, Kargil War etc. besides donating.
At the outset, it is necessary to observe “Bhumi Pujan’ of the place where the Ramlila will be celebrated and thereafter a big Pandal is to be erected with attractive gates. About 150 artists take part to stage the holy epic of Sri Ram. Invitation Cards are printed and distributed. Ramlila begins with “Ganesh Puja’ and ends with “Bharat Milap’ after the effigies of Ravana, Meghnad & Kumbhkarn are burnt on the 10th day (Dussehra) which is the solemn proof of the triumph of Good over Evil. The Volunteers and Policemen provide security round the clock.
