Ramlila is a dramatic folk re-enactment of the ten day battle between Lord Ram and Ravan, as described in the Hindu religious epic, the Ramayana. A tradition that originates from the Indian subcontinent, the play is often staged over ten or more successive nights, timed to culminate in the festival of Dusshera, that commemorates the victory of Lord Ram.

Lav Kush Ramlila Committee, one of the oldest committees in Delhi, was established in the year 1979.
Since its inception the committee has been organizing Ramlila at Red Fort, Delhi.
The Committee is being governed by the office bearers, elected out of dignitaries, prominent citizens, businessmen and other learned personalities.
Lav Kush Ramlila Committee has achieved the recognition as the favorite organization in Delhi. It has also achieved the recognition of best Ramlila committee in Delhi central zone and conferred with an award by Nav Bharat Times.
